In his spare time: Mr. Washington is plotting to become the next David Simon - writing articles, novels, screenplays and teleplays, in hopes of one day watching his works permeate through American culture.

Mr. Washington is a National Legal Search Consultant for the San Francisco office of AbstoneLalley. He focuses on matching talented attorneys with leading law firms throughout the country. His goal is to make sure both the candidate and the firm are more than satisfied with their choices.


Prior to joining AbstoneLalley, Mr. Washington had a vast array of unique work and life experiences. From serving as an enlisted soldier and officer within the U.S. Army Reserve, where he earned his scholarship to law school, to building an English education business in Shanghai, China. During his time in law school, Mr. Washington worked for the United Nations at The Special Tribunal for Lebanon in The Netherlands. Mr. Washington also clerked for The Bonneville Power Administration, as well as, interned for United States Senator Jeff Merkley. After law school, Mr. Washington was a Secretary of General Staff, overseeing all administrative operations for the 364th Civil Affairs Brigade HHC, and later the 8th Medical Brigade HHC. Most recently, Mr. Washington has been working as an international admissions consultant, where he advises students from China, Japan and Korea on how to best prepare undergraduate, or graduate, admissions applications to top tier American universities.


A native Californian, Mr. Washington has only recently returned to the Bay, after living in China for three years, where he got married. Mr. Washington earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon Knight Law Center, his Masters in Performance from the TISCH School of Performing arts at New York University, and his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from The University of Michigan. When not writing, Mr. Washington can be found obsessing over college football, watching Seinfeld with his wife, playing golf, or strategizing how to get his unborn child into Annapolis or West Point.
